Consciously, you may not even be aware of what actual event caused your symptoms. The symptoms may not always be obvious to you, raising their head when you are tired or stressed.

Immediately after the event, shock and denial are typical.   Longer term reactions can include unpredictable emotions, flashbacks, strained relationships and even physical symptoms like headaches or nausea. These emotions run your life and affect every decision you make. Perhaps you are on medication for depression, anxiety, panic attacks…not knowing why, but desperately wanting to be free.

Your internal thoughts, that self talk that rules your life becomes a 'hidden'  part of you that you have to cope with every day.

Even those closest to you are unaware of this part of you. You may be searching for answers of why 'you are always on edge', often feeling frantic or fearful.

Trauma or Stressing events can affect people from all walks of life. This therapy works equally well for individuals that have suffered trauma through past relationships and stressing events in early childhood to social services and Police and corporate world, any experiences that have left You feeling less than whole.

The Richards Trauma Process is a cutting-edge technique that utilises hypnosis and enables you to overcome stress, anxiety, depression, anger and PTSD assisting you in overcoming these challenges quickly and safely and without drugs.

TRTP is a very structured, yet dynamic process. It includes components of Gestalt, Mindfulness, Ego-state Therapy, Choice Therapy, Cognitive Therapy, Parts Therapy, Emotion-focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dream Rehearsal Therapy and others. It is a dynamic, rich and sequenced series of steps, which, if separated would not be anywhere near as powerful. It is unique. It allows space for the individual client’s needs to be met.

Using TRTP we find the cause, the underlying reason, for the anxiety, the stress, depression, stressful event or post-traumatic-stress.   Often this reason is ‘hidden’ deep in your unconscious, hidden among your habits, your memories and your very core beliefs of who you think you are. Rest assured these beliefs are ‘unconscious’ but, ‘they’ control everything you think, say and do, or don’t do.

The TRTP therapy then takes the emotional charge from your past, designed to break the patterns in your unconscious so that you can break free, moving you the client to a place of empowerment in relation to the past stressing events (trauma). Because hypnosis is used, the therapist can then speak directly to the body and to the unconscious shifting the client from fight/flight/freeze to an empowered state whilst at the same time the sympathetic nervous system is calmed and the memory of the trauma is placed firmly in the past.

The client quickly moves from their state of fight, flight, freeze – ‘I’m not safe!’  to, ‘It’s over.  I’m safe now…’  Calm returns, on all levels and all symptoms cease.

All the experts in the field of trauma agree that to recover, two things must happen:

1.   the key to switching off the self-reinforcing neurology is that “the body has somehow to know now, that the ‘danger is over’, and able to confirm to the mind that “I am safe now”. That is the key to switching off the self-reinforcing neurology.

2.    The person “has to be brought to the point of being empowered around the trauma and be able to deal with it, to resolve it and to disempower it“.

The Richards Trauma Process typically resolves the problem in 4 sessions. Clients works through the event in a very safe hypnotic dissociated state, which allows the person to move on with their life. The final and very important stage is to prepare the person to move on with their life so that future events and reminders of the past do not cause old anxieties to be relived.

Please watch these Videos below from the creator of 'The Richards Trauma Process' Judith Richards herself explaining in her own words what TRTP is and how it works and how it may benefit you.

Are You ready to Shift and move forward ?    If so click here, to find out how and lets get started.

My name is Helen Meachen Since becoming a BSR Practitioner I have worked with many clients and the majority of these are experiencing pain in some part of their body. Over time I have become increasingly aware of just how connected our minds, most especially our emotions, have to recurring pain in our bodies.  Repeated experiences with clients fueled my curiosity and my desire to answer the question “What events or traumas contributed to getting this pain, these allergies, ongoing anxiety, poor sleeping patterns or illness responses seen in our bodies?”

My search led me to an introduction to TRTP. The process rang true to me and both my professional and personal curiosity was aroused. I knew that there had been pain in my life and that any personal growth I experienced would benefit me and my ability to understand both the emotional and physical pain my clients experience. Although I believed I wasn’t carrying any “trauma” as such, I wanted to experience TRTP and the growth it seemed likely to bring for myself.

Well!! Was I wrong!?!  The TRTP process identified that trauma was hiding behind beliefs, words and behaviors that I was unaware I had. This gentle process took me through events and circumstances in my life that I believed I had dealt with and put behind me, helping me to recognise that these things were still burned into my subconscious and, were impacting and affecting my decisions – right now, up to 30 years since some of the events occurred.  Most importantly, TRTP help me to realise that my self-belief and my self-worth were being impacted by these past events and the “trauma”.

The gentleness and effectiveness of the TRTP process allowed me, without re-living or re-traumatising, to address and let go of the underlying triggers to my frustrations, and the strong feeling of disappointing others and of being disappointed myself in my own choices and as a result have removed a major obstacle in my growth and to moving forward deliberately with my life. The personal transformation of who I thought I was to who I truly am now and who I am moving towards becoming is truly remarkable.

I feel empowered, calmer, more confident and trust myself to make the right decisions at the right time. No more second guessing or putting things off for me. I am now living a full and exciting life, to my full potential.

Of course, my next decision was inevitable, becoming a TRTP Practitioner and, for me, compliments the other mind-body connection services I offer.  My goal is to use my life experiences and my skills to help others to move forward and to free them from the emotional hold from both obvious and hidden 'traumas' they have in their lives. I know that TRTP is very impactful and am very passionate about sharing this process with others to impact positive change in their lives.

Changing one person does not change the world, but it does change the world for one person.
